So this past week after graduation, one of my best friends moved away, for GOOD. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do without her being a street away! Its not like she just moved a state over but all the way over to DC!! I guess I'll just have to go visit like three times a year! So I decided I needed to pay a little tribute to my cute friend...LIZ PRICE:
Our friendship began our freshman year at college. You could say we were the type of friends that just instantly became close. I don't remember ever having awkward moments or weird transition stages, we just clicked from the beginning.
We laughed about the same things that usually no one else would laugh at, she ALWAYS heard what I said...whether it was under my breath or in a big group where my voice just got lost in the crowd, Liz would hear it EVERY TIME! We just had a special bond that is hard to find in friends.
We went through a lot our freshman year....a lot of ups and downs but through our TOUGH experience Liz, C, Kam, and I formed a bond that couldn't have happened any other way. We knew after that year we were going to be friends for the long haul.
After our summer apart we came back to BYU to live at liberty square in an apartment of 4! We were so excited!! We lost our freshman 15, had a little more of an idea of what college is all about, and we finally got to live in a place that fit most of out stuff! We were so happy to be living together and couldn't wait for the fun year ahead....
Some of the best memories are the liberty square years. We met the buddies, we helped throw the best Halloween party EVER, we had gilmore girls sleepovers almost every night, had "family" dinners 4x a week together, made cafe rio a weekly tradition, took the best road trip to california where PEDRO the rock decided to crash through the car windshield forcing us to stay for an extra 4 days in SoCal (which we weren't upset about AT ALL), began our TURBO JAM obsession, and SO many more memories! We loved liberty square.
Then it was time for summer and Liz and I began our expedition....and I mean EXPEDITION....to DC from PROVO. We had 3 and a 1/2 days to drive there and boy did we see some sites. So many great memories from that road trip that I will laugh about til the day I die. We had a lot of fun and I got to visit her cute parents and the beautiful DC in the end!
After our sophomore summer we decided to add some new additions to our living group. Deidre and Heather. We instantly knew we were going to get along so well and we had the cutest house in Provo. It may have been the smallest house and had a kitchen the size of a closet but we loved it and loved being together. And we're a pretty good lookin group of girls I must say...
We had another year of fun adventures and memories, continuing the tradition of gilmore girls sleepovers almost every weekend. We also got to help with Kam's wedding. We were able to see the not so pretty moments of her and Evan's relationship as well as the beautiful moments. We were so happy for them and loved watching their story unfold. Spring term brought more fun memories and we were able to have Chucks, and Amanda join us in the fun!! The tender blue rose brought a lot of happiness to our lives.
Senior Year--although we all went our separate ways as for where we lived, Liz and I still managed to see each other a lot. We took floral design, had weekly turbo/brazil buns workout sessions, would take numerous frozen yogurt breaks, and would just hang out as much as we could. We constantly couldn't believe it was our senior year and that we had been through 4 years together! Time truly goes by so fast.
But no matter how far away we are from eachother now, we will always be best friends. She has become so much a part of me that distance won't take away. I've learned so much from her and her example. I will miss our chats, I'll miss our jam sessions in the car, I'll miss laughing about random things with her, I'll miss doing brazil buns, I'll miss our cafe rio dates, I'll miss my shopping buddy, and so much more but I know we'll plan some fun things in the future to stay in touch. I love this woman so much and am grateful for our amazing friendship.
Love and miss my Liz! :)
